With all due respect!

To Mr. Sunil Gavaskar,

You were very good at this.

But, not so good at this.(Read as:Rather, you are just too bad at it.)(commentating)

Why on earth do you speak sentences without a 'comma'?
Why do you speak such long sentences?
Those sentences can be summed up in 4 to 5 words.
Why do you bore the viewers with your not so relevant thoughts?
Why do you speak as if you have the read the cricketers mind?
Why do you have to act as if you know it all?
Why are you biased?
Why do you have to be the 'Rameez Raja' of India?

Unarguably, the greatest test opener ever! Your record against the West Indies is nothing but out and out heroic. Legendary stuff. And as an Indian my chest fills with pride when people talk about how you handled the West Indian quartet of fast and fierce bowling.
You as a batsman have one of the most sharpest brain.
Till this time, it was all good.
BUT BUT BUT but BUT,
Sunil Gavaskar, the commentator — notwithstanding the fact that he truly was a great cricketer — is incredulously and unfailingly petty!
It gets on my nerves you make statements like, “The non-striker walked up to the batsman and told him to focus!” Oh! How on earth do you know that is exactly what was said?

Its a shame when you try to defend Sreesanth’s provocative gesture upon taking a South African wicket, “he is just saying a namaste, which is a form of greeting in India!” Huh?.

Its extremely funny when you say," The gully should move out and be placed at slip (as a catch flew threw second slip) because when Indian bowlers bowl, there are no catches at gully. The last time India caught at gully was back in 2002 when Mathew Hayden slashed a bowl from Ajit Agarkar to Kumble at gully. So the gully should me moved now to second slip."
WHAT THE Fu**. It's 2008 and you are trying to say that there haven't been any catches at gully for India since 6 years. Didn't you place a fielder at gully when you were a captain.
It's just senseless.

Why are you a racist while commentating.
In a recently concluded series between Australia-India, you made a stupid comment by comparing the fine to Zaheer Khan (for sending off hayden) to the one when Shane Watson was just celebrating his wicket and not sending off anybody. You said,“Let’s not mince words here, every time it is always an Indian or a sub-continent player who gets hauled up, never the Australians.”
C'mon you just can't say that.

How on earth do you say something which players talk in the field with such confidence. Agreed, you been there, you saw it all. But, you can't just read a players mind . Or can you?
How do you know that sehwag will not be taking any more singles and will only hit the ball for a 4 or 6.
Why do you have such bad sense of humour(well, not exactly humour). *Sehwag is on 69* . You said,"By the looks of what is happening right now, it will be either a 6 or a 9." Wtf is a 9?

Why do you have to come up with such long sentences,"Gautam Gambhir is in great form as he had made these many in the recently concluded series against Australia and it is not easy for a player to switch from Test to ODI perfectly but I think Gautam Gambhir is still in form for the ODI, he has managed to not be over confident and which a very good thing for India."(No commas) . You could have just said,"Gautam Gambhir has managed to switch from the test format to ODI efficiently."

In the end, I would just like to say, you were one of the greatest cricketer and probably the worst commentator India has produced.

Yours Respectfully,
An Indian
